In yet another video designed to debunk some of the common myths and misunderstandings of motorcycling, California Superbike School Coach Steve Brouggy talks about the why and how of wheel & tyre balancing. Purposely kept to a minimum of detail, these videos will help you understand some of the more fundamental aspects of keeping you and your bike safely on the road.

The reality is that an out of balance wheel can be the cause of a range of symptoms on your motorcycle. Everything from vibration through the handlebars and / or seat, through to oscillating handlebars and / or wheels not being able to contact the ground over surface irregularities can be attributed to a poorly balanced wheel. Irrespective of exactly what the issue is, the truth is that an out of balance wheel is not a fun thing to have on your motorcycle, whether you’re riding at or below the speed limit, or way above it.
